01 / The project

A familiar risk.
A deeper strategy.

Tumble Tavern builds on the push-your-luck decision to bank a score or roll again. Custom dice and runestones add preparation and control to that familiar loop, inside a physical, three-dimensional tavern.

For Guildhelm, the project brings together systems design, a readable tabletop interface and the work of taking a game to market. This is the studio view of that work; the game website carries the full rules, modes and collection guides.

02 / Development

Building beyond the rules.

A physical interface

The Unity project treats the table and game case as part of the interface. The development challenge is keeping scoring, selection and progression readable within that three-dimensional presentation.

Controller navigation

Spatial focus navigation, directional repeat and scrolling to the selected control are implemented in the interface. That work supports the planned move between desktop and handheld play.

Steam integration

Achievement integration queues unlocks until Steam is ready and synchronises achievements earned offline. Steam-specific code is separated from Android builds.

03 / Market positioning

A strategy game.
A Steam-first release.

The intended audience is players who enjoy dice strategy, tabletop games and decisions built around risk. The project’s point of difference is the combination of loadout choices, runestone interventions and a physical tavern setting.

The Steam plan connects a playable demo, wishlisting, community feedback and October’s Next Fest ahead of the full release. The demo gives players a way to judge the game directly.

Research priorities are how quickly new players understand the turn, whether the strategic choices encourage repeat play, and how clearly the store page communicates the experience. Demo feedback will help guide those decisions.

04 / Platform roadmap
