Guildhelm Studios tested the current public Tumble Tavern demo on both Steam Deck and Valve’s 2026 Steam Machine hardware running SteamOS. In our hands-on checks, the demo launches and plays successfully with full controller support.

The free demo is available on Steam now. Steam Deck players can download it today, and our testing also covers the upcoming 2026 Steam Machine.

SteamOS testing and Valve’s rating are separate

This is a report from our own testing. Tumble Tavern has not been awarded an official Steam Deck, Steam Machine or SteamOS compatibility rating by Valve, so we are not using a Verified or Playable badge.

Valve’s current documentation says its standard hardware compatibility review is available for games. A Steam demo is configured as a separate Demo application, so this announcement does not claim a compatibility result for the demo. Valve can review an unreleased base game before launch, and we will share any official result only after Valve publishes it.

Play the Tumble Tavern demo free on Steam

The Tumble Tavern demo is free on Steam now. Roll against a tavern of rivals, learn their tells and use limited enchanted runes to take control when the table starts slipping away.

The full game launches on 12 November 2026. Visit the official Tumble Tavern website for more about the game and follow the Steam page for release updates.
